About Maureen:
Originally fom Jacksonville, and having spent most of my life in North Carolina, I am happy to have landed in beautiful Beaufort and chosen the area to establish my practice. I earned my BA degree from East Carolina University in 1981, and my MS degree from Francis Marion University in 1989. I have held licensure as a Psychologist in North Carolina since 1990 and have over 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents within outpatient behavioral health settings. I have over 10 years of experience working as a contract School Psychologist for various school systems in N.C., and 10 years of experience working with adult concerns.
My clinical interests include the assessment and treatment of ADHD and learning disabilities. I enjoy working with parents who have needs related to behavior management, and having adopted a daughter from Guatemala, I have interests in adoption and attachment issues. I recently completed training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am pursuing certification in this area.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, cycling, gardening and cooking.
