About Maureen:

 

Originally fom Jacksonville, and having spent most of my life in North Carolina, I am happy to have landed in beautiful Beaufort and chosen the area to establish my practice.  I earned my BA degree from East Carolina University in 1981, and my MS degree from Francis Marion University in 1989. I have held licensure as a Psychologist in North Carolina since 1990 and have over 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents within outpatient behavioral health settings.  I have over 10 years of experience working as a contract School Psychologist for various school systems in N.C., and 10 years of experience working with adult concerns.  ​

 

My clinical interests include the assessment and treatment of ADHD and learning disabilities.  I enjoy working with parents who have needs related to behavior management, and having adopted a daughter from Guatemala, I have interests in adoption and attachment issues. I recently completed training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am pursuing certification in this area.   

 

When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, cycling, gardening and cooking.
